Critical thinking is the ultimate
goal of higher education; it involves analyzing new information, comparing it
to (or synthesizing) knowledge that your already have, and finally, making
evaluations or judgments based upon on the new information. The Standish Group,
a U.S. consulting firm, publishes a study titled "The CHAOS Report."
Using the Internet to conduct research, complete the following:
- Locate and read the 1995 CHAOS Report.
- Summarize at least three points that you found most interesting, focusing on adequately interpreting the statistical statements provided.
- Review information contained in subsequent CHAOS Reports.
- Do not purchase the reports as they are expensive; simply conduct a web search to locate summaries of their content.
