This essay is for a business management module. Therefore, whilst some very basic mathematical concepts can be mentioned (e.g. the basic formula of a network), the essay should dominantly focused on the qualitative discussion. There should be no discussion based on mathematical formulas etc. A good guide is whether a reader with NO mathematical knowledge can follow the essay.
Graphs, diagrams and visual representations of networks can be used.
The essay should cover the suggestions in the essay title and should also mention the following: the achilles heel of scale-free networks, Barabasi's preferential treatment theory and growth model.
