Words and/or body language may mean different things to
different people. We must be very careful to make sure that our
audience understands what we mean. One sure way to avoid
misinterpretation is to avoid the use of slang, acronyms, technical
terms, rolling eyes, blank stares, etc. Remember that the same body
language and use of words/phrases are not always shared by
everyone. The ultimate goal is to make sure that you are conveying
the right message. Considering what you have learned/researched, do
you think that the use of body language is important in the way we
communicate? Why or Why not? What role does language play in
setting a positive tone? Please explain. Thanks for sharing your
insights! Dr. Mac
