Using ICTs to create a culture of transparency: E-government and social media as openness and anti-corruption tools for societies
Article Synopsis & Discussion
Each student is going to read, summarize, and lead the discussion of an e-government research article in one of the classes. In class 1, students are required to sign up for the synopsis and discussion of one article listed in the course schedule. In that class of the scheduled article, the student will first summarize the article (about 5~10 minutes) and lead the discussion of the relevant issue (about 5~10 minutes). Each student is required to summit a PowerPoint presentation of the article synopsis and discussion questions before the class. Though not required, other students are encouraged to scan (i.e., read briefly to grasp the gist) the articles before class for better participation in the discussion.
