For this assignment, you will write an analytical report. You will provide a recommendation of the best proposal, based on the 3 proposals you are given.


Step 1:

? Read pages 223 (Analytical Report paragraph) and 226 (Memo format).

? Download the folder containing the sample student proposals.

? Use the Proposal Evaluation document as a tool.


Step 2: Write an analytical report, using the indirect pattern (Figure 9.1, p. 223), to your instructor to determine which is the best of the three proposals.


Step 3: Format your report as a Memo (Figure 9.3, p. 226).


Step 4: In the Introductions/Problem section, briefly explain your purpose in writing this report.


Step 5: In the Facts/Findings section, provide evidence (positive and negative elements of each proposal) that you believe is important to consider when determining which proposal is best. When selecting evidence, consider the criteria described in the PWR‐O Writing Assignments Rubric (available in the References tab of the PWR course page on FSO).


Step 6: In the Discussion/Analysis section, compare and contrast the proposals based on the evidence in your Facts/Findings section.


Step 7: In the Conclusions/Recommendations section, state your conclusion and make a recommendation as to which proposal your instructor should give the best grade.
